Michael Beirne

Principal of Barclay Beirne Lawyers

Michael is the principal of Barclay Beirne Lawyers which he commenced in 2001. His main areas of practice include insolvency and reconstruction, commercial litigation and a range of commercial and transactional matters including business acquisition and sales, advising on business structures, corporate management, dispute resolution and compliance. Michael is a Queensland Law Society Senior Counsellor, providing voluntary services to the legal profession, and an Accredited Specialist in Businesses Law. Michael has been a resident of the Sunshine Coast for 20 years, has 4 adult children and when not at the office he can be found at the beach with his dog or exploring the hinterland on his motorcycle.

    Sheila Dixon

    Sheila has 20 years’ experience in the legal industry in New Zealand and Australia.  Raised in Cumbria on her family’s farm on the England-Scotland border, Sheila migrated to New Zealand, working for the New Zealand Police and later in private practice a criminal defence and civil litigation practice in Queenstown.  A move to the Sunshine Coast in 2010 found Sheila working at the Maroochydore District and Magistrates Court and leading Sunshine Coast firms.  Sheila’s legal experience includes a broad range of commercial, conveyancing, estates, litigation and general legal administration.

    When Sheila is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her partner and friends in the great Sunshine Coast weather.

        Jodie Bruce

        Associate Solicitor at Barclay Beirne Lawyers

        Jodie is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Jodie is experienced in the areas of Commercial Law, Retail and Commercial Leasing, Business Sales and Restructuring, Financial Services. Jodie is developing her interest in commercial litigation and insolvency.

        Jodie regularly volunteers at the Suncoast Community Legal Service and is a committee member of the Sunshine Coast Law Association.

        In her spare time Jodie enjoys spending time with her 2 children and is a member of the St Thomas More school board.

            Lauren is the Paralegal at Barclay Beirne Lawyers with 10 years’ experience in the legal industry, a Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal), a registered Commissioner for Declarations and experience running her own business.

            Lauren enjoys spending time with her partner, Crossfit exercising and the beach.
